A REFUGE
FOR THOSE SHATTERED BY SUICIDE LOSS

SAMSĀRA SANCTUARY WAS BORN FROM LOSS — AND BUILT ON LOVE.
Every day, people are left behind after someone takes their own life — overwhelmed, exhausted, and alone.
SAMSĀRA SANCTUARY, based in Utah, will be a calm, restorative haven where survivors from around the world can find peace, healing, and care without judgment.
Your donation today will help me legally establish the nonprofit, create the first of its kind — a sanctuary — and offer hope and holy rest to those who need it most.

THIS IS
SAMSĀRA
SANCTUARY
My name is Elle Fisher, and I’m building Samsāra Sanctuary — a faith-led refuge for people living in the aftermath of suicide loss.
I know what it feels like when life detonates without warning. When someone you love takes their life, the world doesn’t just end once — it ends again every time you wake up and remember. There is no manual for this grief. The world goes on, but you can’t.
While the sanctuary will be physically based in Utah, my mission is to support survivors of suicide from all over the world.
What survivors need in those first months isn’t therapy or platitudes — it’s somewhere safe to rest. Somewhere to cry, sleep, and be looked after until the pieces start to fit again.
That’s exactly what Samsāra Sanctuary will be: a calm, restorative home where survivors are cared for, fed, guided, and safe.
HOLY REST. HOPE REBORN.

THE PROBLEM
Every 40 seconds, someone in the world dies by suicide. Each time, an estimated 135 people are left behind — parents, siblings, children, friends, colleagues — each carrying the invisible weight of grief.
While prevention is widely discussed, what happens after is often overlooked. Survivors are left to navigate unbearable grief in isolation. Sleep, work, and daily life become nearly impossible. Many suffer in silence for years.
We exist to change that.

THE GOAL FOR THIS FUNDING
I’m raising the initial seed funding to establish Samsāra Sanctuary as a legally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in Utah, United States.
Your contribution will go toward:
-
Nonprofit registration and EIN/tax-exemption filings
-
Essential legal and administrative setup
-
Initial compliance and accounting to ensure transparent operations
Once Samsāra is officially registered, future nonprofit fundraising will directly support programs, staffing, and the opening of the first sanctuary home.
Every dollar helps lay the foundation for this refuge — allowing me to focus fully on opening the doors to Samsāra.

SAMSĀRA MISSION

MILESTONES
Complete 501(c)(3) nonprofit registration and obtain EIN/tax exemption- so that donors can claim tax deductions from their incomes.
Cover essential legal and administrative filings, accounting consultation, and documentation for full compliance.
Prepare outreach materials and launch the first awareness campaign to reach founding supporters.
Each contribution, big or small, will be recognized in the Founders Journal — a permanent record in the first Samsāra Sanctuary, a quiet testament to everyone who helped bring this home to life.
Donations at this early stage are not yet tax-deductible, as I am currently raising the necessary funds to complete the official 501(c)(3) nonprofit registration with the IRS.
Once Samsāra Sanctuary is fully registered as a nonprofit, all future donations will be tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by U.S. law.
By supporting this first step, you’re helping lay the legal foundation that allows future donors to receive tax benefits — and ensuring Samsāra can operate transparently, responsibly, and with faith-led integrity.

WHY DIRECT DONATION MATTERS
I have created this direct donation line to avoid third-party platforms like GoFundMe,
which charges nearly 3% for donations and takes a commission from the funds.
By giving directly, you help ensure that every cent goes straight into the Samsāra Sanctuary account — allowing us to build this refuge with the urgency it deserves.
Your gift directly supports the seed funding needed to complete the legal foundation for Samsāra Sanctuary, a first-of-its-kind nonprofit refuge for survivors of suicide loss.
Once this first step is complete — covering legal agent and setup fees in Utah — Samsāra will officially operate as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, with its own verified banking details for continued donations.
1. Complete 501(c)(3) nonprofit registration and obtain EIN/tax exemption
→ So that donors can claim tax deductions from their income once the nonprofit is approved.
2. Cover essential legal administrative filings, accounting consultation & documentation
→ Ensuring full compliance and transparent financial operations.
3. Prepare outreach materials and launch the first awareness campaign
→ Reaching founding supporters, faith-based partners, and suicide postvention networks worldwide.
PHASE 1:
SEED FUNDING
PHASE 2:
THE HEART
OF SAMSĀRA
Once the legal foundations are in place, we begin the work of securing the home itself — the true heart of Samsāra.
Phase 2 will focus on securing the heart of Samsāra: the physical sanctuary home. This will be the sacred ground where survivors of suicide loss can finally rest, breathe, and begin again.
Your support in this stage will help:
-
Secure the property — an open, ranch-style home in nature with space for rest, reflection, and healing.
-
Prepare the sanctuary grounds — creating gardens, walking paths, and quiet corners for prayer, art, and renewal.
-
Establish the animal refuge — for guests’ pets and rescued animals that bring comfort and grounding.
-
Build the children’s center — a nurturing space where children can play, create, and heal safely alongside their families.
-
Furnish and restore the main home — turning every room into a place of warmth, peace, and care.
This is the phase that brings Samsāra to life — where generosity takes on a tangible form: open doors, made beds, and hearts that can finally rest.
Every contribution to this phase becomes part of the foundation of the first Samsāra Sanctuary, ensuring it rises debt-free, sustainable, and ready to serve those who need refuge most.

WHY I CHOSE THE NAME SAMSĀRA
The word Samsāra comes from the ancient Sanskrit for rebirth and renewal.
It reflects the journey of rising again after devastation — the cycle of finding hope after grief — and the chance to heal gently, safely, and fully.
I chose this name because it embodies the sanctuary’s mission:
A place where the survivors of suicide loss can rest, recover, and eventually step forward into life again — not alone, not in silence, but surrounded by care, guidance, and peace.

WHY
UTAH
The moment I stepped onto Utah’s red earth, I felt it — a stillness that softens the soul. Mountains, lakes, and open skies whisper patience and peace. Its faith-fueled community models care without judgment, guiding those in need toward hope.
This is where Samsāra Sanctuary will rise — a home where survivors are looked after, fed, guided, and safe, and where the heart can finally breathe again.
Though located in Utah, SAMSĀRA’s reach will be global — offering hope and support to survivors anywhere they may be.
